1st Anniversary of 5/12 Sichuan Quake
Tuesday, May 12, 2009 by Gene_Ching
On May 12, 2009, the first anniversary of the Sichuan Quake, the Tiger Claw Foundation is pleased to report raising an additional $1,267.00 for the Sichuan Earthquake Special Fund, bringing the total contribution to $73,445.39.

See our updates on the Martial Arts Benefit for Quake Victims page on our Tiger Claw Foundation website.

Martial Arts Benefit for Quake Victims was part of the Tiger Claw Elite Championships held at the RDK Ultimate Internationals. This year TCEC is on hiatus so we're holding our first Tiger Claw's KungFuMagazine.com Championship on June 27, in cooperation with Shark City Nationals. The Tiger Claw Foundation will have an information table at Tiger Claw's KungFuMagazine.com Championship where you can learn more about Tiger Claw Foundation projects and contribute.

Check out our Martial Arts Benefit for Quake Victims blog for more information on our ongoing work to support Sichuan Quake Victims.

Check out my latest interview David Carradine in Spike TV's KUNG FU KILLER. Love him or hate him, Carradine has had a tremendous impact on the popularization of kung fu in America. Now he's back with a new movie mini-series and I couldn't resist the opportunity to talk to him. As the summer movie rush winds down, you'll find three reviews by our resident columnist, Dr. Craig Reid. Read MUMMY 3: Tom Boy Yeoh Meets Tomb Boy Li, THE DARK KNIGHT: Christian Bales Out Batman, and HELLBOY II vs. Jet Li? to see how martial arts continues to impact Hollywood. Also, our longtime e-zine contributor Chen PengCheng is keeping it real with Interview with White Crane Master YingHan Su. This article is twice as long as our usual pieces, so we hope you enjoy it.

Enter for your chance to win an autographed edition of THE ART OF LEARNING by Chessmaster and Tai Chi Push Hands champion Josh Waitzkin now available in paperback. This contest is courtesy of the Josh Waitzkin Foundation. Contest ends on 6:00 p.m. PST on 9/15/08. Good luck everyone!
